Amendment to the 2010 San Bernardino Valley Regional Urban Water Management Plan
Multiple agencies in the San Bernardino Valley prepared a Regional Urban Water Management Plan, including the City of Colton, the City of Loma Linda, City of Redlands, City of San Bernardino, East Valley Water District, Riverside Highland Water Company, San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District, West Valley Water District, and Yucaipa Valley Water District. Since then, revisions have been made to the San Bernardino Valley Regional Urban Water Management Plan. The water code requires that any changes to an Urban Water Management Plan be readopted and re-filed with the Department of Water Resources (water code section 10640 and 10621(c)).
The Draft Amended Regional Urban Water Management Plan includes revisions to the document to correct errors and clarify portions of the Regional Plan following review by the Department of Water Resources. In addition, the draft revisions do not impact on Yucaipa Valley Water District’s individual Urban Water Management Plan which was prepared separately from the Regional Plan.
Yucaipa Valley Water District will conduct a public hearing regarding the Regional Plan at the Yucaipa Valley Water District Board Meeting on November 7th at 6:00 p.m.
